Scripture Tote Bag



Create a handmade scripture tote bag with coordinating fabrics and a little creativity!


You will need to bring the following:


  1. 1/2 yard each of two coordinating fabrics (one for the outside and one for the lining


  2. 24 inches of boning, cording, or padding to make handles on bag


  3. 12-24 inches of ribbon (ric-rac or straight)
  4. Matching thread

  5. Any embellishments you want to add (such as the flower pictured)

*PLEASE BRING A SEWING MACHINE IF YOU HAVE ONE*


*NOTE- The style of the bag you will make will be a little different than the one pictured. It will be a simpler version.

Homemade Christmas Ornaments

You can create your own beautiful homemade ornaments with just a few simple items.






















MUSIC ORNAMENT

Bring your own:

  1. Glass or plastic ball ornaments (Try the thrift stores or dollar store)
  2. Jute or twine
  3. Mod podge
  4. Sheet music (Try the thrift stores or bring your old music that you don't need anymore)


























PEEK-A-BOO ORNAMENTS (ones you can see through)

Bring your own:

  1. Oval or sphere clear glass ornaments (Can be purchased at Michael's)


  2. Something to put inside (Family photo, vintage picture, tinsel, snow flakes, flower petals, beads, ribbon, confetti, inspirational saying, etc.)

Personalize with your own family photo to capture a special moment or embellish with something fun to add your own flair.

*Remember that anything to be put inside has to be small enough to fit through the top opening. Pictures can be rolled up to fit inside.*





Handmade All Occasion Cards






















Make your own creative cards for any occasion with a few simple items.








Bring your own:
  1. White heavy cardstock


  2. Variety of solid and patterned paper


  3. Ribbon (grosgrain, satin, ric-rac trim)

  4. Adhesive (tape runner, glue, foam squares, glue dots, etc.)


  5. Scissors


  6. Embellishments (flowers, beads, stickers, eyelets, brads, chipboard, charms, etc.)








A variety of cutting tools and stamps will be available for use in creating sayings.






Choose papers and embellishments that will help you create the specific cards you would like to make. Keep in mind birthdays, baby showers, thank you notes, Christmas, Thanksgiving.

Christmas Pennant Banner














Decide which saying you would like to display or leave blank.

"MERRY & BRIGHT"
"CHRISTMAS"
"PEACE"
"JOY"
"HAPPY HOLIDAYS"
"HO HO HO"
"JINGLE BELLS"

Or think of your own





Please bring the following items:


  1. Choose 3 or 4 coordinating fabrics. These will be the triangles. (You will need one 12"x12" square of fabric per lettter and space in the saying) So use that formulation to figure out how much fabric yardage you will need.
  2. Choose a solid fabric for the bakground circles. (You will need the same number of these in 6" squares)
  3. Choose 1-2 packages of silky blanket edging, or wide bias tape in a matching color.
  4. Get chipboard lettering for your saying (Can be found at Michael's)
  5. Bottle of fabric glue
  6. Bring pinking shears if you have them

*This project takes minimal sewing. Please bring a sewing machine if you have one.

*NOTE: The squares of fabric can be cut at the church. The measurements are just to let you know the amounts you will need.

Family Photo Blocks

Bring the following items:

  1. Choose the quantity, shape and size of your blocks. You can use use cubes or rectangles.
  2. Next, choose your paint color. (Acrylic paint from the craft store is cheapest)
  3. Choose your photos. (Black and white looks sophisticated and goes with any color scheme)
  4. Bring your blocks and paint, along with the photos you've chosen, to the Super Saturday.
  5. You will apply the photos at the event with decoupage.
  6. Bring your own bottle of Mod Podge and a sponge paintbrush.
